This is not convenient for the gym, like I said, unless you have a playlist set up. Overall I'd say the case is ok. My only problem with it: You can't access the skip button while working out. Anyone have suggestions for a different brand sport case that fits the w580i.
It looks kind of ghetto and poorly designed. Wish SONY could have done better. and what's with the extra inch of velcro down the front. hahahahp.s.
Try to do that while spinning on an elliptical, and it can get tricky (& dangerous). Wish there was another to choose from, maybe I'll sew up one myself and market it. I have a w580i, and like to take it to the gym, to listen to music while working out. (Which I just can't be bothered to take the time to create and maintain).
Major flaw in design if you ask me. Meaning you must set up your playlist before you start your work out, otherwise you'll have to try to open the case, pull the phone out, press the button and shake to skip, then return it to the case. I've thought about using a hole puncher through the fabric so I can expose the button, but it seems the hard plastic exoskeleton is still in the way.
this case is for the slider type phones not flip phones. i ordered this case so i could jog at the gym and listen to my sony ecricson w580i. i use it strapped to my arm and it works great.
This product is way too bulky and does not have a clip to attach to a belt. You have to wear a special strap which makes you look like a tourist on the subway.Don't buy it.
More importantly, it does what it's supposed to do: protect the phone. I bought the Sony Ericsson W800 and figured that if I'm spending this much money on a phone/camera/walkman I don't want to just be throwing the thing in my purse or on the counter like I did with my old phone. Also, the W800 phone has bluetooth technology capabilities and from what I understand that's wireless so you wouldn't need to worry about the plug. Okay, maybe the design could be better for people who want to use the ear phones while the phone's still in the case but there's nothing to stop you from turning the phone around and placing it in the case top down - you can plug the ear phones in and the flap of the case is long enough to cover the phone along with the extra length of the earphones plug and still securely adhere to the velcro to protect the phone - you won't be able to fiddle with buttons but I just make my adjustments beforehand and put the play mode on "shuffle" and start my run. I ordered the case along with the phone and I like it. It's well-made and the W800 does fit into this case perfectly.
Its the worst case you can ever think of.It is 2 times the size of the phone. Its cheaply made. You would be better off with it.
